Create a class

Go to Classes, then under New class:

1. Give it a name, up to 60 characters, for example “Oak class” or “Year 4 science”.
2. Optionally pick a year group, from Reception to Year 13.
3. Tap Create class.

Create one class for each group you teach. Each student belongs to one class.

AI chat

Each class has an AI chat switch. It’s off when you create the class.

When it’s on, students in the class can ask the chat helper questions, up to 5 messages each time they play. Turning it off takes effect within about a minute.

Archive a class

Archive a class you’ve finished with:

• Its students can’t sign in, and chat is switched off.
• You can restore it within 30 days. Restoring doesn’t turn chat back on; do that yourself if you want it.
• After 30 days, the class is deleted along with its students’ accounts and progress. Each archived class shows the day it will be deleted.
• To delete it sooner, tap Delete now on the archived class and type its name. It’s deleted straight away and can’t be undone. Want a copy first? Use Download your classes’ data on the Account page.

Only an archived class can be deleted, so archive first.
